Authority releases three decisions
The Authority released decisions on three complaints today. The Authority upheld one of the complaints (where a warning had not been given ahead of the use of offensive language in a radio programme broadcast at 7:30pm), did not uphold another complaint and found it did not have jurisdiction to determine the final complaint. Two of the complaints related to television broadcasts and the remaining complaint related to a radio broadcast. A number of different standards were raised in the complaints including good taste and decency, children’s interests, accuracy and fairness.
