SummaryAn episode of British Sex was broadcast on TV3 at 9. 30pm on 28 October 1999. This series was publicised as a programme with a straight talking approach to all things sexual, which featuring "ordinary" people. Daphne Painting complained to TV3 Network Services Ltd, the broadcaster, that the programme was "a polluting intrusion and desecration of [her] home". She complained particularly about footage of a "body caster", who modelled body parts, including genitalia, which she described as "reprehensible in the extreme". SummaryAn item on 3 News, broadcast on TV3 on 9 February 1999 beginning at 6. 00pm, referred to a contest to conceive the first child of the new millennium. Among other matters, the presenter referred to "the first of January 2000", in describing the contest. Mr Butchart complained to TV3 Network Services Ltd, the broadcaster, that the statements were totally untrue. He said the next millennium begins with the first day of January 2001. He sought a correction of what he called the untrue statements. TV3 agreed that the third millennium did not commence in fact until 1 January 2001. A segment dealing with arson showed what was described as a suspected drug house which had been destroyed by fire. N, who claimed to be the owner of the property shown, complained about the programme to the Broadcasting Standards Authority.
