We were delighted to welcome visiting representatives from KCSC (Korea Communications Standards Commission) to the BSA this week.

We had an interesting and useful session on the similarities and differences of our respective content regulation regimes.

Complaint Line is a gateway website of agencies that provide the public with processes for resolving complaints.

It has just launched some free online resources about the language of complaint. These can be used by teachers working with people who are not confident in speaking and writing English. The topics include 'It's OK to complain' and 'Writing to complain' and are available on the Complaint Line Resources page.

The BSA has today released its annual report showing it received fewer complaints this year, and noting that while pleasing, it is too early to say if it is a trend. The report notes the BSA's more robust focus on freedom of expression.

The BSA has also declined to uphold a law and order complaint about an exchange on Radio Live during the Ports of Auckland dispute earlier this year, in a decision released today.

Media releases about both items appear below, along with our Annual Report.
